Supervision

I am currently available for clinical supervision of Licensed Professional Counselor Associates

(LPC-Associate). It's my goal to work with you to provide the best internship experience possible.

LPC-Associate Process
  1. Masters Degree or PhD in counseling or psychology from an accredited university and completion of all classes and practicum as required by the LPC Board.

  2. Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and on-line Jurisprudence exam.

  3. Interview with me and a supervision contract signed by both parties.

  4. Application for LPC Licensure, Practicum Documentation, and Supervisory Agreement Form sent to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Please know that it may take several weeks for the application to be processed.

Supervision

  • A combination of individual weekly sessions and group supervision.

  • Feedback and guidance on counseling techniques, application of theories, self-awareness, identification of themes and the big picture, and ethics.

  • Review of the associate's case notes and/or video-taped client sessions on an as needed basis.

I look forward to being a part of your journey and growth as a counselor.  Being a supervisor is one of my favorite things that I get to do!  I work with clients from a variety of backgrounds dealing with issues related to depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, low self-esteem, and communication difficulties.  I'm an eclectic therapist with a strong Cognitive Behavioral Therapy background.  When working with kiddos in play therapy I take a child centered play therapy approach.
